Can someone help please?
I just got through seeing some pictures of 3 week olds and my 3 week old isn't even a fraction of the size they are. I just don't know what I am doing wrong. This is the only seedling out of about 10 that has actually lived. The leaves on it just aren't the lush green I see in other pictures. And they are growing incredibly slow. See picture.
Scott's potting soil and perlite. I was using organic and perlite, but nothing lived so I switched.
6.5ph water w/1 drop superthrive per gallon water
400W MH 30" above
Temp around 80. Oscillating fan.
No nutes until today. 1/2 tsp. FF Big Grow per gallon water.

when you grow in soil its slow like that
the roots are your main concern right now
you should add more perlite and water less
if indoors put the light real close

this is just my non-expert opinion
dont give any nutes until it gets bigger.... you can lower the light to about 8-12", just make sure to do the hand test first. put your hand at the top of the plant for about a min and if it gets hot you know the light is too low.
how is the water drainage?

Thanks for all your advice. I did go ahead and give a very light solution of nutes since it is over 3 weeks old. And, I lowered the light considerably. Hopefully one or both of those two things will get it going.
With all the stress this is going through, is it doomed to be a male? I'd grow it anyway, because I really need the experience.
