    Drying

I was told to hang my plants for 3 days, 4 days maximum. These are for sale, not personal use. I don't want the weed to be too wet, but don't want to lose too much weight either. Any input?

I don't think it's going to dry in four days if it's still all on the plant. If you're willing to wait up to two weeks, sure.

Four days maximum? You're going to want to cut the stalks [ with the bud ]; trim the excess leaf from them; and then hang them up to dry individually.

I put large buds in a large piece of paper like a spliff and taped it slightly and believe it or not the bud tasted cured after 2 days but some take much longer to cure.
I've had resin in the past that didn't taste cured at all but after 5 days it started to taste ok. I'm not sure why someone would grow and then make resin without curing. After 6 months resin i've had seemed to taste more mellow but not so frest and potent.
Deff cut the individual buds off the plant and hang them up to dry like Kush Over said though.

The longer you cure and dry it the better it will taste and the custom will be more because more people will like it..

And good weed should be cured to get its true weight.

    So, wait..

It tasted cured after two days in a paper cone? Hm

How would you do something like that; would you place it directly into the cone after removing it from the plant, or is it a curing method after a good drying?

Would it be something like the drawing below, or the end closed in around it and tighter around the bud?

Well, what I did was when I cut the plants down, I cut all of the fan leaves off and hung them on the stalks. I am not as concerned about curing it, since I am not the end consumer. I am more concerned about selling stuff that is too wet and people complaining.

Well, when do you plan to have it done is the question? It may take up to a three weeks [ depending on the size of the plants ] to properly dry with all the moisture probably still in the stem and roots I assume are still attached.

Do you have some kind of airflow in the area with them? Don't want them getting moldy, especially when they're going to get compact as the turgor pressure dies down and the plant collapses under it's own weight.

I have my fans (both exhaust and and oscillating) still going along with an air purifier. I cut down half my plants on Saturday and the other half Sunday. As I said, I was told to dry them for only 4 days max, or I would start losing weight. The person who helped me with all of this info has been doing this for 15+ years, so I was just following what he said.
