Well last night i broke my glass bong...i was getting out of my car and the bag slipped out of my hand...thank god only the downstem and slide were damaged, im gunna pick up a new downstem this weekend and i think my slide can still go it was only chipped a bit...BUT, in the mean time i have made a bottle bong. heres a little tutorial.

Materials:

1 metal bowl (any size is prolly good)
1 plastic or rubber tube/straw(rubber is better)
1 metal downstem(I used a piece of metal tubing off of a remote control car remote these work great)
1 plastic bottle w/ cap

Step 1

First you need to get the bowl and downstem into the cap of the bottle. Myself, using a knife, cut a hole in the center of the cap and worked it until i could very snugly fit the metal bowl into the cap by screwing it in. Now if you have a real metal downstem attatched to your bowl than i would suggest getting a small rubber gromit/seal to put on top of the cap, hey maybe even one on the bottom, unless u can get a good seal already from the cap. I used a piece of metal antenna u know the ones that com out like one of those little swords? lol well those work great if u can find one small enough to fit inside of your bowl but snug enuff to stay in.

Step 2

Now you need to take your plastic or rubber straw/tube and get it in the cap. Try to get it as far away from the bowl as possible cuz the bowl gets hot and u dont want it to melt. Using a knife make a small hole and than work it with something that would give you a basically round shape. I used a hemostat and pushed it thru and twisted it at the same time slowly and once you can get your tube thru your good to go. Of course the downstem goes in the water and the tube is high above the water. Have fun and if these instructions arent clear enough just ask and ill help. Sorry i cant post any pictures.
