Homeade Bong and Hooka making thread!

Well last night i broke my glass bong...i was getting out of my car and the bag slipped out of my hand...thank god only the downstem and slide were damaged, im gunna pick up a new downstem this weekend and i think my slide can still go it was only chipped a bit...BUT, in the mean time i have made a bottle bong. heres a little tutorial.

Materials:

1 metal bowl (any size is prolly good)
1 plastic or rubber tube/straw(rubber is better)
1 metal downstem(I used a piece of metal tubing off of a remote control car remote these work great)
1 plastic bottle w/ cap

Step 1

First you need to get the bowl and downstem into the cap of the bottle. Myself, using a knife, cut a hole in the center of the cap and worked it until i could very snugly fit the metal bowl into the cap by screwing it in. Now if you have a real metal downstem attatched to your bowl than i would suggest getting a small rubber gromit/seal to put on top of the cap, hey maybe even one on the bottom, unless u can get a good seal already from the cap. I used a piece of metal antenna u know the ones that com out like one of those little swords? lol well those work great if u can find one small enough to fit inside of your bowl but snug enuff to stay in.

Step 2

Now you need to take your plastic or rubber straw/tube and get it in the cap. Try to get it as far away from the bowl as possible cuz the bowl gets hot and u dont want it to melt. Using a knife make a small hole and than work it with something that would give you a basically round shape. I used a hemostat and pushed it thru and twisted it at the same time slowly and once you can get your tube thru your good to go. Of course the downstem goes in the water and the tube is high above the water. Have fun and if these instructions arent clear enough just ask and ill help. Sorry i cant post any pictures.

this may not be a bong or hooka, but another alternative.

i broke my pipe couple months ago because i was all irie and forgot my pipe was in my shirt. so i shaked my shirt cause there were ashes on and jus when i lifted my shirt to shake it the pipe fell to the floor and it shattered.

so i found materials around the house to make a new pipe.

1st Step
Make a slit in the platic tubing so can snug the "the bowl" nice and tight.

2nd Step
Take 2 zip ties and tie down the extra plactic from the tubing around the bottom of the bowl so that its airtight.

3rd Step
Cut the screen so it fits in the bowl. Then push down with a pen or pencil whichever is nearest to you. Suck to see if its airtight (cover the bowl suck and if u cant suck its airtight).

Last n Final Step
Grab some buds, break a piece off and fly it in your bowl. Take your Green Bic and Start Smoking!!!! :rasta:

Here's a really easy one to do, and that's great for gatherings of 3 or 4 people:

Bong to Hookah Adapter

1. Assume you have a bong. Any bong will do, as long as it can stand up on its own without your holding it.

2. Tape over the carb hole, if applicable. Leave the bowl and slide where they are.

3. Take a 20 Oz.bottle of any kind; all that matters is that it tapers somewhat. Turn it upside down, and place it into the top of your bong. Mark where the bong touches the bottle around the rim of the bong. Remove the bottle and cut off the top about 1/2" toward the top from your line, such that there is about 1/2" overlap between the bottle and bong when in position. This will facilitate better airflow than leaving the bottle intact. Once the bottle is properly placed, tape it down to the bong, making sure there are no air leaks.

4. Melt/ cut holes around the rim of the bottle, and insert tubes-- the number can vary, but just consider that you'll have to stop up any unused hoses when using this things, or else you'll draw air and not smoke. Seal the hoses in place with tape/wax/silly putty.

5. Add water, insert bowl, pack weed, light. Get all your friends (1 per hose) to suck. You'll fill the chamber, and then Voila! Your once single-user bong becomes a stylish--if wonderfully ghetto-- hookah!
