maui wowie?
I picked up some delicious buds that my dealer told me was maui wowie. I have gotten similar buds in ventura california, but no where else. It's a light green, very potent, and kind of powdery when you break it up, tons of crystals. It's hard to explain, but it smells just fantastic. Is this maui wowie? Of all the dank buds i've ever grown, this type is by far my favorite, I wish I could pinpoint exactly what it was. anybody growing the maui out there? pictures would probably help, i'll do what I can.

I have hawaii x skunk. From Nirvana. It's suppose to be maui wowie x skunk. I have looked all over for straight maui but have not found it. Some one hook us up on where to get beans. Then again you never know now days, everyone gives strains new names just cause they grew it or it sounds better than just bigbud.

Supposedly almost all weed that comes from Hawaii is given the generic name "Maui Wowie." As for the actual strain, a smell reminds you of the tropical islands. That thing you can't put your finger on? I like to call it "zing." It's like comparing typical fruits to citrus fruits. You put your face in a bowl full of apples. It smells nice, fruity. You put your face in a bowl of oranges, lemons, limes, etc. and WOW! Intense, sweet, sour, mouth watering, juicy, ZING! Same thing with Maui Wowie and most other weed. Maui got the zing, others don't.

I've had it too. Very good and tastey.
But almost impossible to find.
I'm getting a rare Hawaiian strain called Molokai FRost! and a Thai called Octpus Thai.

LOOP, if you read that "grasscity" description carefully, you will see it is a hybrid including 80% indica, nowhere even close to being "Maui Wowie", or even Hawaiian, for that matter ... that's why it is almost impossible to find, it is one of the 'lost' strains ... P.S., while I have never heard of "grasscity' before, I see their ad also refuses to ship to USA and Canada ... ya gotta read this stuff before ya use it for a source ... :smokin:
