Hey everyone. Can anyone tell me how long left till this bud is ready for harvest, all the other buds on the plant are similar to this one in development.

looks pretty close. did you try looking at the tricomes under magnification? that is the best way to tell, but it's basicly ready. i would say with in a week range. it's really just personal prefrence.

yeah i've looked at it under magnification but i dont know exactly what i'm looking for. I've read the tricomes swell like tiny clear mushrooms when its fully ripe but i dont think i have a strong enough magnification as it's only 3x

there is a point at which so many of your pistels will darken...check around this sight on a search.. i think it's at about 75% darkened pistels (hairs) and it's ready.... i don't know what a magnifying glass would do as every strain is different.........
Damn that shit looks about done nice job man...i can not wait for that day i am so far away from that right now..damn..
PS..i have read that if you let it go TOO LONG that potency can start to drop....i think i read that in H.T. of a grow book...i can'yt remmeber good luckk peace

the tricomes, at first look like a pretty clear little ball in the end of a stick. later they will turn a milky white opage (sp) color. after that they will turn a brownish, amber color. you want to harvest it when some are amber & most are milky.

alough i would not worry about it too much. you could pick it now if you want. be shure to cure it well though, that will make all the difference in how it smokes.

You need a good magnifying glass to see the resin glands. They will swell like little mushrooms under magnifacation and the optimum time to harvest is when they are turning a milky coulour.
The colour of the pisils is a good guide when they are 60/75% brown.
If you leave it too long the plant will start to produce another drug called "CBN" (abriviated) .
This will give you a very heavy stone and tend to knock you out rather than give you a more social stone .
Some people like this , I personaly don,t so I try to pick on the early side rather that the late.

I have hear CBN is a hullucianent (sp), but if you let it go for a long time will you start to get hullucinating weed??!!
