okay, so as many of you know, i dont believe in any God.. Before you start hyper-ventilating and run away (ive got some brown paper bags if you need them) this ISNT another "does god exist/smoke weed/vote for bush?" thread..

but, it is about religion LOL naw seriously, i dont believe in god, but recently an older friend of mine has been telling me about Buddhism and, as much as it shocks even me to say it, it seems like the right path for me.. a religion where you dont obey the laws of a god that you dont even know exists, a religion where you dont obey other people and their perception of The Big Ol' Holy Bible, etc etc.. this religion seems to be more about YOU, about yourself, about tolerance, understanding, love, etc.. in fact, from what ive seen, it doesnt seem to be a 'religion' in the 'organised religion' sense of the word, like most religions.. its just a load of guidance and morals etc etc that you should stick to if u want to reach enlightenment, but if you dont stick to them then its because its ur choice, and ur still on the right path, ur not shunned for ur mistakes, youre not called a 'sinner', if ur break any of these then u havent 'sinned'..... i dunno if any of that makes sense to u, and it was a pretty rough explaination of what i mean lol... so if any buddhist would like to correct me then feel free.. im just tellin u the impression i got from what ive seen, read and heard and that i believe its the right path for me.. any feedback would be cool.. peace n happy tokin'

i dunt beleive in religionz that have they own rulez an shit. i beleive wut i beleive, so i guess u cood say i have my own lil religion goin on. but az fer followin the bible an shit...well there r so many ppl who talk bout sinnin az if itz a bad thing 2 b a sinner. itz actually not. the whole point ov inventin the word sin wuz so that when ppl did do sumthin hurtful to another person, they cood confess their sinz, be forgiven, an start off fresh. so manyppl say they disagree wit christianity an other religionz that involve sin becuz they refuse to b called a sinner az if it were such a bad thing. christian religionz kno that eryone iz a sinner, an there iz no rule sayin itz wrong to sin, an yer a bad person if uve sinned. im done rambling....

buddhism isn't really a religion by definition of 'Religion' and that is why it rules .......if buddhism was a person and found out it wasn't an elephant it just says so...that is why it is really great...........................it wasn't even worried about being an elephant in the first place....LMAO......but seriousley hell's yeah
