I agree. that goes up there with playing instruments. I can see why someone wouldn't want to (your song could suck and a classic is allways liked), but I think if someone could pull it off they would be the best.

I just thought I'd say that I really REALLY dislike that show, it's a show that turns people into competative greedy idiots who only want 2 things, fame and power.

So wtf its like a show honoring the most conceited fucker in america, and we're then supposed to idolize this person?

but i have one question, why do you all like the show? i mean i can uderstand that its a fantasy for ordinary people to become stars. But the bottom line is that 99% of the people who watch it want the same kind of stuff to happen to them and 99% of those people will never get it. ever.

I watch because I like the different genres they have to represent. Besides, it's good entertainment when baked, and I LOVED the eye candy! Pickler was a sexy little beast, and McPhee isn't too far behind. They all can sing, but it gets really good when they break out, and actually put on a show...like Taylor does.

Chris was the Sh!t! I think he had the strongest voice, and best represented his particular style better than the rest of them, but in the end it is up to the viewers to put our favorites through to the next round, which is why Chris got voted off. People didn't vote because like whiskeygirl said, Chris was a shoe-in.

Music makes the world go round, and it's fun to watch people perform, plain and simple!

I think American Idol is a great show. Although, the name is a bit cheesy, lol!
