    FANs

So a few years back I figured the ultimate solution to all of my problems:

Put a fan in my window which sucks the heat (and smoke) out of my room. My room is on the top floor and with all the computers and stuff it gets hot even in the winter. My parents only turn on the AC when it gets hot downstairs, and it is usually 20 degrees cooler downstairs. The fan also works great to maintain a one-way airflow going in my door and out my window, so I can smoke whenever without worrying about smoking up my house (even though my parents donā??t really care, mostly incase an uncle or someone comes over). I just put it going out the window then roll up my curtains and use twist ties to form the curtain into a kind of skirt to go around the fan and force the air out the window.

But since figuring out this miracle solution 2 years ago or so, Iā??m already on my 3rd fan. I canā??t seem to figure out why they keep breaking. I have a Panasonic desk fan that used to be my moms and I remember having it since I was a baby, and the thing still works great. Yet every time I get a new one for my window Iā??m lucky is it lasts one whole year. But I mean my brothers got desk fans that are comparable to the Panasonic and they broke or started making bad noises within a few years also. I guess they donā??t make them as good as they used to, which seems kind of clichĆ© but apparently true. My heart sinks every time my fan dies because my room turns into a sauna within 5 minutes AND I canā??t even smoke.

spend the $$ on a good fan we use the high velocity round wire caged fans at work in the summer time they can really move a lot of air and only cost 40-60 $$ for a good one or if your a more mechanicly inclined kinda person get one of those big MF's that go in the ceiling and draw the air up in to the attic ..it will require a lil framing and electrical work but they really kick ass. i installed one for my grand parents years ago [ over 15 yrs] and it still works great and will also save on cooling costs in the summer
