Order seeds or weed seeds?

So I'm planning on pursuing the grow but I ran into a little downer. From those that have grown before, have you had luck with seeds you've gotten from herb you've bought?

I had some killer Skunk and it had a few seeds so I plucked those out. However, everything I'm reading says that they will most likely not produce much (or anything). I just did place an order with a seed bank, but I'm wondering if I should still hang on to the seeds I have now.

absolutely no reason the seeds you got outta your Skunk, won't be just as good as their Mama, as long as they're viable ... darker colored, mature-looking, spots, stripes, etc ... squeeze them between your fingers ... if they crush, they were no good, anyway ... I use the 'wet paper-towel' method, you can find loads of germination tips in FAQ or Search ... :smokin:

Cool. I'm familiar with the paper towel method and am going to start that tonight. I figure if I can get them to germinate, I'll start with those. I ordered some Durban and something else (and got 10 free seeds too!) so if worse comes to worse, I'll practice growing and perfect my tecnique with the seeds from the Skunk.

I agree. A friend just gave me some plants to veg and flower in my chambers that were from bagseed. You can get some good stuff off it. Just keep in mind that it has a good chance of being herme, so keep an eye out for male flowers and pluck them off as they come :-)
