Trying to choose a new religion

lets see here is some backround before you guys say ne thing im what been baptist my whole life immigrated to america when i was 2 came here from the ukraine (shit hole of a country really) like i said been baptist but lately that religion has not interested me at all i never liked church the boring sermons and such i dont know i either might to athiest(sp?) or i might choose another religion to follow. any advice on what religions i should look into?

Well, I really dont think you can just choose a religion in a way and be happy with it. Religion seems more of a way of feeling about something that is beyond our control in a way and it almost seems like you have to have some sort of feeling about it instead of just saying, wow, I am going to be this today. I would just read up on a lot of different types and stuff and see what fits you the best way in your own personal beliefs and stuff. I have studied a lot on religion and if nothing else it is really interesting. I am big into eastern philosophy and that stuff so I can be of help to that if you have a more specific question on anything. Good luck to you finding what you believe in and stuff.
