Miracle Grow or cheap potting soil
The first grow I ever did, I used Miracle Gro potting soil and it caused me all sorts of problems. Go with the any potting soil that doesn't have nutrients in it already. I've done two grows using cheap potting soil and had great results.
The problem with soils that have nutrients in them already, such as Miracle Grow, is that the nutrients are urea-based and not necessarily organic. As a result, it screws up the soil'd pH, and the nutrients are not evenly fed to the plant, which results in the plant getting randomly burnt.
If you are dead set on using soil with nutrients in it, you certainly can buy soil with organic nutrients, but it'll cost like $15/bag.
If you are still relatively new to growing, get a few successful grows under your belt, then start to experiment. Start off simple, then branch out and build upon your successes later.krustythfreakinclown Reviewed by krustythfreakinclown on .
