Those fans will suck or blow depending on how you mount it. As far as your setup is concern you would have one fan sucking air from the room through the filter in order to remove the smell and old air as an exhast system. You could have the one fan on the filter and use passive intake of fresh air but another fan for active intake would increase your yeild and reduce plant issues.
