Hi, I'm Prudence, need a little info please

Hi Eveyone,

I'm Prudence, an occasional smoker. I have a couple of questions, and would appreciate and advice, experience, info.

I'm going to court on Monday, (Sept. 13) to be charged for a misdemeanor. At my interview with the probation dept, the gentelman said he would reccomend 6 moths probation, to be expounged (sp) after my term. Also said I could not drink or do illicit drugs while on probation. He did not say anything about piss tests, and this problem has nothing to do with drugs, but I am wondering, do they autmatically do piss tests if you are put on probation? And, if they do, will they piss test me on the day of sentencing? I did smoke a little last week, and a few times within the last 6 weeks.

Anyone have any experience they can share along these lines? I'd appreciate it. I look forward to getting comfortable around here. Oh, how do you start new threads? This board is set up much different than other's that I have been to.

Im 16 and i got caught for drug trafficing .......I had to go to Teen Court though ......I had take piss test 4 times in 1 year.....then i was off probation......Hope everything goes well buddy......Damn cummnity service will get to you .........Damn 120hr's

I don't know where your from or how the laws work there. But I can tell you when your on probation and they say No drugs or Alchol then you can bet that they have the right to test you for them. Most generally they will test you when you have to come in for a monthly appointment maybe not every time you come in but probaly once or twice during the six month period, but keep in mind they could test you anytime they want to. This is not cost effective for them to do that though and probaly won't happen unless they pull you over and find out your on probation which they will even if your just speeding and then suspect your high or have been drinking. So to answer your ? I would have to say Yes they will piss test you count on it. Good Luck

Thanks, I appreciate the reply's. I live in MI, so am not sure what the laws here are about piss tests. It wasn't a drug charge that I am facing, so I'm hoping that at least they won't pee test me on the day of sentencing.

Spent two years on probation for obstructing the govenment. If this is your first time tell them you want non-reporting probation. Worked for me and I seriously screwed with the government, still am but they stay away from me.
