Your career.
I was just wondering if everybody was doing what they wanted to be doing career wise and was it easy deciding what you wanted to do?The reason I ask is because I have been travelling the south just doing factory jobs and now I have settled I want to get a proper career in something but I have no idea what or how to go about finding out what I like.I feel like someone who has just left school not a 33 year old.

I've been lucky enough to get jobs I enjoyed doing and the secret really is to believe that if you set your mind to something you can achieve it.

I get bored easily and that is the problem,I have been thinking about taking a course on counselling and maybe if I volunteer for the samaritans that will also help.

I am SO there with you, Hidden... I feel like I'll never know what I want to be when I grow up. Job-wise, I'm stuck in a rut, and like you, I get bored very easily. I really want to get into the medical field, I actually just applied to the community college and am hoping to get into one of their nursing programs or something.

Hey yeah I feel you. I left school not knowing what I wanted to do whereas all my friends went straight to university and thats how we ended up finally drifting apart.
I started a marketing course due to pressure from my family - I hated it and left. Then I started an Art course, but couldnt get the right funding for it and was forced to leave and have spent the last 4 years in boring jobs.
I've finally decided I'd quite like to get into midwifery and will study it when I come back from travelling, but yeah, its shit when everyone round you seems to know what they want to do and you cant seem to find a career that interests you or is well paid.
I guess the best thing to do is write down all your hobbies and interests and try and find jobs that relate to that - wildlife/art/cooking/music/design etc..
