smokn, You want to get a system that is basically, just add water...

The problem with a lot of systems is the access to the reservoir, to check the waters ph and ppm and to check water levels.

You want a large reservoir that does not need water added daily. You want easy access to the reservoir without disturbing the plants.

I would recommend you spend your $900 on the following items

1. light ($100-$300)
2. fan/exhaust/carbon scrubber ($100-300)
3. Hydro System ($100-$300) Consider an expandable, simple 1 or 2 bucket system for you first grow
4. nutrients ($50-$100)
5. PH/PPM meter ($100-$300)

If you plan on growing many times.. invest heavily into a PPM/PH meter.
