converting a hid light
Ok so my friend had a mv hid light that he gave to me for free (probally because he realized its the worst kind of hid) But being the non wastefull type i was wondering if there is any way i can convert it to a hps light?

No, it wont work at all. The ballast is wrong anyways.
At least you havnt lost out by paying.
