Are the English captivated by joints?

Ok, most if not everyone I know that blazes in England ONLY smokes (most)
joints. What's wrong with that I hear you say? Why absolutely nothing ofcourse. However, my question is why. Why don't the English prefer other smoking methods or at least show some interest in them. Personally, I learned to smoke in U.S so i learned from a glass spoon. I've moved onto my bubbler now. None of my friends over here have a glass pipe, I know 1 person with a bong, I just never hear any other methods being discussed. I think everyone is too set in their ways of joint smoking. One girl even said to me: "Eww, you smoke out of a pipe, that's disgusting!" My ex g/f tried
smoking from my pipe once and she was like "it's too harsh" "waa waa waa"
"I need tobacco in my joint!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm not the biggest fan of joints for these reasons:
    I can't roll anyway :P (basically i'm 2 lazy)
They constantly burn, airgo, where's the thc going?
It's hard to conserve your bag when you're constantly rollings J's or matching someone.
I hate tobacco, I'd rather just smoke weed pure but every English person I talk to always says this:

"Nah bruv, you need it otherwise it doesn't burn properly."

Anyway, this thread was not to nag the joint smokers but more to question why there seems to be no diversity between smoking methods. Reply if you can be bothered.

I have a pipe and a bong, i smoke joints on weekends and pipe or bong on weekdays, so i use pipes and bongs more than joints and im english. But i agree with you that most people around here do smoke joints most of the time.

Joints have the highest thc consumption from the weed that's burning apparently. Plus they're easy to carry around, there are lots of cops around these days therefore walking around with a glass pipe may not be subtle enough. I prefer using a bong but a lot of the time they just aren't practical.
    Pure.

1st of all whats with English and not British!

Anyway, for me - using bongs/bubblers/pipes and all that jazz is just to get really fucked up - like smoked out your tree.

I like rolling joints - I like starting off with some skins, weed and my fingers then crafting it into something smokeable - its rewarding to smoke something you have created from scratch.

I like to lie back with a joint and smoke it slowly
With a bong, its too much hassle, and it gets you too baked.
I used to be into all that when I was like 14-16 but now my aim isnt to get totally wasted - I just want to mellow out a bit and joints are perfect for that. plus its cool to pass them round:stoned:

Ha, yea, maybe I should've put British

Maybe it's just me and my lack of passion for arts and crafts that keeps me away from joints. I know what you mean though about the reward factor. I prefer to pack a bowl in what, 10 seconds, then how ever long it would take me to roll one. That's just me being lazy again tho I really like the artisticness of a glass piece, the whole concept of naming it etc. Joints are easy to pass around but it sucks when it sideburns or when you spill ash. I like joints but I doubt I'll ever like them as much as my bubbler <3

I have got a bong, a chillum and a pipe. Pipes are good because you can be absoluely out of it but still load a pipe. I have just bought some licorise rolling papers so I am to have a hash and skunk special so i still love joints.
