    Bank Error in Your Favor!

Hey Guys, I just went to the bank cashed my 2 checks and took out $40. I arrive home and have $60 in my wallet. So I check my online account and it says the correct amount was deposited so it wasn't my $20. With no conscience involved should I a.) spend it on a fatter sack, or b.) spend the $40 i should have gotten, hold onto the $20 just incase they do catch up? I need answeres quick cuz my guy is gonna call me back soon!!! I really hope i did get the extra $20.:rasta:

they'll figure it out. I'd deposit it back unless you're not worried about NSF fees and shit.

If the extra $20 came from an ATM withdrawal, then it's likely they'll never pursue recovering the money for various reasons; it's more of a hassle for many banks to do all the paperwork required to correct an erroneous ATM transaction for so little money.

If the extra funds came from a withdrawal you did in person, you should consider going back to the bank and inquiring if the bank teller that assisted you was $20 short that day. ... if they don't give an answer or say "no", then just forget about it and consider it a bonus for banking there.

Another possibility to consider is that the extra $20 isn't really extra, but perhaps money you already had in your pocket prior to the withdraw.

and if it did come from a teller then s/he is short 20 bucks which doesn't look good for them career-wise and would definitely earn you karma bucks if you did the right thing first thing monday morning...

Well $20 isnt much so even if they do come back for it I dont think you'll get in that much trouble if you spent it, just go buy some weed .
