how far into the water should the bowl tube be? and inch? or as much water as the bong can hold reasonably? i dont do it a certain way or anything...i just wanna know the best way, if there is one or if it dosent matter.

it should be in 1 1/2 to 2 inches take a hit off it with no weed and if it bubbles your good to go load that shit up

its all about filtering......more water....smoother smoke but less chamber.... like towlie said bout 2" bellow your mouth ('less youve got loads of water) and never try to have the water level above the height of the bowl unless you like water features

Depends on the size and shape of the bong. My method is to put as much water in as possible without getting any in my mouth. So I'll usually overfill it, then take a couple of hits before I light it while the water is clean and spit out the excess water.

less water = hotter smoke, more smoke

Put the right amount in there, then add a couple ice cubes, oh yeah, make sure its clean..get yourself some nice 420 clearner or orange cleaner from your local head shop..KEEP SMOKIN

Actually, you want as little water as possible. If you need to cool it then draw the hit and let it sit in the chamber. THC isn't water soluable, but THC is is a polar molecule. A certain percentage of THC will get stuck in the water, and you will waste your smokable material. This is why ROOR and PHX bongs are designed to use very little water.

If you want a cool hit use ice. If you want a filtered hit use a diffuser down-stem.
