Add some CFL to 150W HPS cab?

I just built a 150 watt HPS cabinet for doing a sea of green grow. I was wondering if it would be worth while to throw in a couple of cool white CFL bulbs too to get some blue spectrum in there?

Just a thought, I don't know if it's really worth while, but it would be easy to do.

if you can control the heat...

more light is always better.. For CfL's to be effective and worth their weight in BUD.. they need to be very very close to your plants... 1 inch or less

Just use some 75 watt fluro tubes and move them around so that the light hits different parts of your plants.....moving the tubes as you see fit.

I once built a grow cab for a medpatient with a 250w HPS and 2 75watt Fluros. Yielded 3 1/2 OZs from one plant without any special training.

I use HPS along with fluro tubes to grow my fruit/vegtables. Works like a charm.

Go with daylight spectrum if available(I forget how many kelvin that is), it was irreputability proven on OverGrow to be better than cool spectrum and the warm spectrum in all stages of marijuana development.

It wasn't an overwhelming improvement in growth however mind you, so dont go far out of your way if other flouro types are more readily available.

does anybody on this forum care about anything but weed...isnt there something else in your lives that makes you happy...im a pot smoker myself...but i have a life..and it doesnt revolve around pot...i wonder about you people sometimes...

Obviously people care about things other than cannabis. That's why there are many different sections to the forums. But being a CANNABIS website, many come here to talk about cannabis.

Why don't you stop trying to judge people you don't even know?

im not judgeing anyone...like i said i use cannabis also...seems to me you get way too personal on a site thats supposed to be about cannabis...telling people where you live and crap...just my opinnion and everyones entitled to there own opinion...

You should try going somewhere that doesn't revolve around pot -- like the lounge, and not the cannabis cultivation boards.
