Sippin' on some Syzurp" or "Sippin' Lean".....Ever heard of this? lol

I know some of you have heard the song "Sippin' on Some Syzurp" by Three Six Mafia. But do you know what the song is really about? I never did, but I recently found out, and was kinda shocked at what they mean by "Syzurp". "Syzurp" is common in the south I guess, in places like Houston and the ATL. Its actually mentioned in a few rap songs now that I think about it. They take soda (I think preferably Sprite, not sure), and mix it with Codiene (and Promethazine, whatever that is) cough syrup, and becoming high off this concoction is known as "leaning". LoL, I was like "what the fuck" when I heard this. Cuz they talk about it like its Cristal or something, but it seems like a strange way to get fucked up. So, just wondering if anyone has ever done this?? LOL, I'm guessing the feeling of "leaning" would be an opiate like nod or something...anyway ...leave some feedback....

yea i've done it a few times, i live right next to houston... and that shit will put your ass down... there's all kinds of ways of doing, some people like to dip blunts in it, some people like to just take a swig, some people like to pour a little bit into an alcoholic drink... we call it drank, purple stuff, or lean... i doubt i'd ever do it just by it's self (as i don't buy it) but when you put it on a joint/sweet it gets you pretty fucked up, but not as bad if you just drink it....

Where would you get the cough syrup though?.....I'm doubt its OTC, or am I wrong. Or do you just get it from someone who was prescribed it, or do they sell it on the black market? Im interested, as Ive never heard of such a thing. I'm guessing its not the tastiest thing in the world either, but hey if you drink Robitussin, thats fucking disgusting as well.

the prescription itself isn't all that cheap to begin with, then you gotta figure in they wanna make their money off it too.... it's worth it tho, it only takes a little bit to fuck you up..

dxm does NOT get better with age...is not good on pancakes...is not good on ice cream....and is not good as a popsickle (doesnt even freeze)...

i vomited from the smell once...ick...cough gels are the way to go
