David K. Mathews (aka Dave Mathews) was born April 16, 1959 in Berkeley, California. He began playing piano at age seven and at age 15 worked with several R&B bands in the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area. Thus he has been playing professionally since 1975, performing on the piano, Hammond Organ, electric piano, clavinet and synthesizers.

I am a Stones fan or I used to be and everyone played Stairway to Heaven when I was young over and over and over...I love all music except some Broadway stuff that gets on my nerves..

I like the old stuff like traffic,Yardbirds,James Gang,Badfinger, Ten years after,Zappa, Janis, there are so many good ones *sigh* Radio is just not the same
