Final cut was the first Pink Floyd album I ever bought, right when it was first released back in 1980..I think. I was hooked and became an instant Floyd fan. Definitely a great album, sounds more like Water's post Floyd stuff though. A few years later I saw Roger Waters on his Pro's and Con's of Hitch Hiking Tour and he did quite a bit of stuff off of Final Cut.

Speaking of Waters' solo stuff, I'm surprised nobody ever mentions it with all the Floyd fans here. Pro's And Cons is awesome, Clapton was definitely a good choice as the guitarist for the first outing without Gilmour. Amused To Death is great too.

I can remember scoring microdots in Germany and tripping/bouncing/partying all night long and then getting back to the barracks and having such a chilled come down, smoking hash and listening to pink floyd-the final cut. I have such great memories with this album I think I want to make this my next CD I purchase should bring back lots of nice flashbacks from the Rating: 5
