Can't get high!

I know a couple of people who cannot get high at all. Does anybody know why this is? I know it's not the pot cause I've smoked it with them and it worked for me.

sometimes, it takes a couple of times for someone to get high off marijuana, and no one really knows why... just like salvia, sometimes it won't affect the person until they've 'used' it a few times... what do yal use to smoke out of?

If i smokea bowl or 2 then sober up, then smoke again and i feel it but i dont really get high at all. Unless I smoke more

Ive gottwn high with first time smokers and they didnt feel anything before, It seems to me that they may be expecting it and thinking too much about it so that they dont even get high. I dunno, thats what it seems like

maybe the receptors that receive THC molecules in some people's brains are underdeveloped or are in some other way blocked from working as effectively?

Not saying they're dumb, its just how their brains are built.

I prescribe "smoke lots more weed" therapy.

Maybe they weren't inhaling thats why i didn't get high the first couple of times lol.

if it's their first time smoking, just keep smoking and smoking untill somebody says "whoa i'm high"

if their seasond vetrans i would recomend taking a break, you can phycologicly build up a tolorence to weed. if you say "i don't get high unless i smoke a half ounce" it will eventualy happen. just stop for a day or three and try again should work.

That's precisely it! Euphoric nailed it. I was reading about the THC receptors, and it said that different people have different sensitivites to the compound. Exposure to THC sort of wakes those receptors up after a few times. But some folks just don't have those receptors as strongly as others. So it simply may not affect them.

I didn't notice anything the first few times I smoked back many years ago. Then I eventually did. I think it must take some time. . . .

i feel sorry for those who don't feel it the first time, i got high as a fucking kite my very first time... same with salvia (excluding the time a few years back i order just the leaf material)
