you're gonna need alot of light for 60 plants, a 1500watt mh or maybe even 2 if you wanna veg that many plants. more if you wanna grow them to maturity.

What size is your grow box?
You should fill the canopy with 48" cool white lights. Make sure every plant is under one of the lights.
I assume you are only starting them to plant outdoor later when it warms up?

From seed they should only be around 14" tall to 18" in that time don't you think? It's dirt not hydro so the first 30 day's it root development more then height. I could be wrong I guess.

Yeah, 60 plants at 2 months old, that's a lot of space. Figure about a square foot per plant if you pack em in pretty tight, and that's a 6' x 10' area. Basically, you'll need one small room to hold that many plants, and you'll need a lot of lights, and good ventilation. Could probably get by with four 600 watt MH lights, but four 1k MH lights would cover that area better. Not sure flouros or CFLs would work all that great for covering basically an entire room. Either way, you're gonna get a lot of heat buildup, so ventilation will be very important.
