ZANDOR ... clone light-hours ??

hi ... just a quick question, I have searched all the clone threads, and have a question ... my clones are about 4 days old now, since cutting, doing very well , 100% successful, rooted directly into plain potting soil, 24 hours of CFL, misted, etc ... how long do I keep them at 24 hours ? ... now that they seem to be established, do I go ahead and put them into 18/6, to grow them out a bit before flowering? ... or, do I put them into 12/12 now, to start flowering ... they were take after female pre-flowers appeared, and are about 3" tall, and healthy now ... (this is my first clone attempt) ... thanks in advance ... :smokin:

I, personally, would keep them over 18/6 for some more time....

18/6 tell your higth you want ,how big you plant is at the time you swich to 12/12 will be how big the buds get if you 12/12 flower at 3 inches tall you got what 1/8 weed when you done maybe 1/4? that what you want? :smokin:

Anywhere from 18/6 to 24/0 is fine. My self I like 24/0 until there are roots established then 20/4. It's more personal then science at this point the jury is still out on the debate between 18/6 and 24/0.

thanks for the info ... I suspected I should treat the clones similar to a plant from seed, but wasn't sure ... this pic is of Day 3, it's now Day 5, I think ... only slightly taller now, but very healthy in all respects ... I will have to leave them on 24 hrs for a couple more days, until I buy another timer to put them into either 20/4 or 18/6 ... my current timer is tied up in my other cabinet on a 12/12 right now ... (sure is weird to see female bud hairs on a 2" tall plant !) ... thanks again for the help, folks ... :thumbsup:

i do all my clones at 18/6 from the cut thru untill they rooted
and everything goes ok for me

what kinda soil are you using?looks like it has alot of bark in it.

its the Premium potting soil from a garden store ("Something Farms" ??) ... pricey, neutral PH, has a good ratio of perlite in it, the woood chips just gravitate to the top ... Im pretty impressed with the performance ... at first, I was like you, and didnt like the looks of all the 'lumber' ... Im using it in all my garden grows now, seems like all my plants like it, tomatoes, peppers, cannabis ... :smokin:
