When my plants are young I also submerge the bottom of the net pots. This guarantees the roots of the young plants are reaching the water. As Opie said, just bring the water level down as the roots grow out of the pot.
The one thing not mentioned here is; You can use h2o2 in chemical nute recipes, but not organic recipes...for the reasons above...buy some hygrozyme and play it safe.

On the other note about the netpots and roots.

Young plants should not get submerged, because they are not strong/big enough to take in the oxygen necessary and will drown (the oxygenated solution does not contain enough oxygen to sustain a plant with little or no roots)...Actually, You want netpots that have not showed roots 1/4-1/2inch above waterline, so that medium stays wet, but roots reach out and get stronger seeking out nourishment.

Once they have a strong root system, then you should keep solution...right up to, or slightly above bottom of netpot.

It is a matter of choice at that point. peace
