hippie fests happen all the time near where i live. the ithaca fair...grass roots,
its a bunch of hippies eating with music, and then there is usualy drum circles. you cant have a hippie fest without drum circles/.

whoa there, you've never been to a rainbow gathering if you can believe that statement. there is a helluva lot of work done to set up an annual...run 1,000's of feet of water pipe AFTER a spring is found and tapped, numerous shitters need to be dug (under sanitary conditions), ovens are made from the earth found onsite, trash p/u needs to be organized, fire watch set up, 1st aid stations, multiple kitchens (one in this case) needs to be onsite, and much much more...IOW, rainbow gatherings are not at all easy to pull off and requires much work and coopertion if 20-some thousand people are to be fed and sheltered.

instead of planning something separate, come to colorado this summer! it'll all be done for you and everything in place by june 25th...and lasts thru and beyond july 4th so there's a couple weeks to set up a separate camp on the land for canndotcomm-ers...plus it's centrally located this year!
