Marijuana plants are like people. There is a male and a female. The male must fertilize the female. If there is no male there is no fertilization and no seeds. Once a plant is fertilized it focuses on seed production and reduces production of THC. Good growers take care not to have any male plants mixed in with the females. That way the plants can focus on producing THC and the best weed possible.
