    racist?

Ah well... Shows what I know.

But is there really an official detailed definition of 'racism' anyway? Or is it just a matter of belief and opinion?

In any case, I'm far from it.

    racist?

I always thought that was retarded. African American? How many black people (and yes, I really dont care if that's the politically correct term of the moment or not, since it seems as though it's constantly changing) are actually from Africa? Or can even trace their roots back to Africa? Seems to me there are a lot of black people originally from the Carribean. I don't get pissed when people call me white, and try and tell them that I'm an Irish/Danish/Portuguese/Mutt American. Who really cares? And if that somehow makes me a racist I say fuck you. It seems nowadays as though more black people are racist that us white oppressors. Oh, and my cousin just got married to a nice woman in georgia who happens to be black, and she's one of the nicest people you could ever meet. But her step father on the otherhand, comes to the wedding wearing traditional african clothing, those robes and the funny hat, I really dont know what they are called. But anyways, he wouldnt even talk to the grooms side of the family. I even tried approaching him nicely and he just walked away. wtf?

It's 2004 and this shouldn't be an issue. Most African Americans were brought to the Caribbean as slaves and not on their own accord, and oh, yeah, fuck you, too, gs. I'm not trying to be politically correct, I'm trying to be a human being.

ok, I dont remember saying "fuck you" to you personally, but whatever. And your last statement, you completely lost me on that. Am I somehow subhuman for using the term black instead of african american? I think I missed your meaning. Why should this matter? I have many friends that are black, and call themselves black, and dont consider myself racist. I pride myself on hating all people as individuals. All of you as individuals are worthy of my endless undying hatred, and scorn. To hate someone for belonging to a particular group is just too easy. Unless we are talking about the EFUR. There's nothing I hate more than an Estonian Philatelist. Those guys just suck.

Sorry, gs, I didn't mean it. I'm a little cranky between the 10th and 15th...lol. Anyone who looks at me the wrong way at this point in the month will have their head ripped off and handed to them. Be happy you don't have to live with me!

I still think the boy is a racist but this argument could go on forever. There is no clear answer...we all need to be more tolerant...but it will never be a perfect, lovey dovey world.

And I would pay $50 for a Hershey bar right now.

Honestly, I just like to argue and press people's buttons. I could have argued your side as well. It's fun, but it sure has caused me trouble in the past. Probably why I was on the debate team in high school. Unfortunately I can't help you out with the hershey's lol

True say, a woman is a gender, thanx for pointing that out
NOW pull your head from your politically correct arsehole, read the post again and realise that I wasn't making any comments about women but actually just saying that his friend reminded me of a woman in the 1800's, you know like in the films, I wasn't saying all women are racists, or generalising the female of the species in any waaaaay ok?
and yeah it is 2004 and it shouldn't be an issue
so why go out of your way to call blacks 'African Americans' that sounds like you have a bit of an issue
because would you call any1 of any other skin colour other than black 'african american'?
if the answer is no, which I'm gonna take a guess judging from your posts, that it is, that is racist, which is what I was trying to get at fuckface
I wasn't trying to say this race is better than this blah blah blah just we should get over the whole racism thing becuz
    RACISM IS BOLLOX
The lengths taken to try and make society 'colour blind' actually highlight the differences hence more hatred
And heres a political correctness brainbuster for ya, lets say that a white male/female/hermie was born in Africa and had the citizenship, then moved to America and successfully got his/hers citizenship, does that make him/her African or American or African American?
and btw I don't think gs was saying 'Fuck you' to you personally. I think he was saying 'Fuck you' to the whole politically correct bollox bcuz he knos that he aint racist, so you shouldn't take shit so literally, I mean did you honestly think I was having a go at women?

    racist?

maryjanemama, the problem with the world is its full of PC people like you, its only racism if your using it as a derogatory comment. I'm fed up of people calling others racist for refering to somone as black, and wtf are you talking about with your comment that the correct term is "african american" or whatever, I dont complain when people call me white, or should I becuase their not refering to me as a specific race/description such as an "irish born englishman, from the central counties, with direct decendance from the brair family that originated in the western regions of the british isles throughout the late 16 century before migrating to ireland in search of economic and religous freedoms" infact next time someone calls me white, i'll sue their ass for not calling me that instead of "white". Racism is an extreamly dangerous word and to be used sparingly and only in extream situations.
