    hard soil?

Not sure about the soil in the middle being hard, but thats where the roots form at first so it could be down to that.
Oh, and leaves fall off/turn yellow/die during flowering, its nothing to be worried about... as long as it starts from the bottom up, that is. If its only got a few weeks left until harvest, at least youve got the flushing out the way so that when shes dried ittl taste a lot better. When I buy Herb that hasnt been flushed properly, I always get a headache, whether its schwagg, mids or 'dank'.

    hard soil?

Well, the soil shouldnt be too hard because the plant need oxygen to the roots.

    hard soil?

would the "N" defficiency be the cause of the yellow leaves or could there be another problem that is causing the yellow leaves?

he mentuoned it was on the bottom so i'm guessing it's the plants natural ability to shut off leaves that aren't keeping up anymore , the bottom leaves are essentially useless so they get rid of them to save energy, to loosen the soil just break it up with your finger making sure you don;t harm the roots youonly need to go about an inch and a half to two inches down.
