Mexico's new drug laws...
wow, its been on the front pages of the papers, and on the news for the last 3 days ... I think its much ado about nothing ... reading deeper into the news headlines, reveals the Mexican Congress is taking that step to establish guidelines for drug arrests ... apparently, they did not have established amounts to convict under, so these new laws are simply clarification to aid enforcement and permit more convictions ... they were concerned that too many drug arrests were dismissed, due to confusion as to the amounts required for conviction ... funny, I didn't know Mexico was so concerned about 'fair' justice ... just my opinion, but I predict lots of gringos are going to be very surprised to find these 'new permissive' laws won't necessarily be extended to tourists, ... :smokin:
