I guess I kind of get what you're saying.

But I was thinking that every person who smokes pot is alike. Everyone who does it is so much more of a down to earth person and each and every one of them have the potential of being good friends.

It is it's own subculture, so people automatically have something in common. On websites and everything when you select your interests, marijuana should be one... its really similar to being a car person in my eyes.

i agree with that. i was also having a conversation with a friend recently about how people who have tripped before get along better... i also feel like i can see through fake people really easily after having tripped, so i'm very picky about my friends. and since stoners seem to be the nicest/coolest people i tend to be friends with a lot of them :smokin:

as for the tripping thing, I know what you mean, its like sharing an experience with someone that ties you together, I remember reading something about how people often become attracted to others that they went through a traumatic experience with, mabye it is related? mabye not
