thanks garden... it may not appear this way, but i actually have done a little bit of homework on cfl's and caught that thread before. that thread alone actually kept my spark of hope alive while some small problems arised earlier on in the grow...

p.s.
i went to home depot yesterday and the highest hps they had was a 100 watt security light. i was bummed .

it didn't seem worth the hassle. i think they were around 90 bux a light with bulb... i am going to be heading into town over the weekend where there is a hydro store, so i figure i will take a look at what they have to offer there.

go to hd and swith the barcodes on the hps's with a 5 or ten dollar fixture. go through the checkout with a robot OR a human, neither will care/know. This is a good way to shop @ the the faceless corporate joints. Would never do it at a small business mind you. Works like a charm.

ah, or buy one for 90 bux, walk out, put it in your car, take your reciept back in, and walk out w/ another. repeat as often as you feel is appropriate. don't pay w/ a CC, [AS ALWAYS]

wound up going to a local store (well i guess techincally it wasn't too local) and picked up 400 hps and boy am i happy. worth it, should have done it earlier. got a free ph kit out of it too
