i remember thinking that the old ones that glowed orange and red were hps lamps lol they do look the same when looking at them have ya eva seen the actuall bulb they look quite similar with a screw fitting

Ya, Now that I think of it. I see yellow and white street lights. And the yellow ones totally look like HPS. The white ones are Metal halide thouugh ,I'm pretty sure.

You work in a factory, and one day you see a skid with 8 brand new 4oow mh light kits that your company bought to replace the old flourecents in the shipping dept. Then the next day there is a big meeting to discuss the disappearence of those lights.

They are HPS mate, at least around south east UK cos i have a mate who works for the people who go round putting new lamps in and cleaning them.

Altohugh we cant use them because they are something like 330 volts and our domestic is only 240 volts... i dunno why they have their own power line but oh well.

Altohugh some of the more yellow lamps around round abouts is LPS.
