I would guess active member is automatically "calculated" by the servers.

We can ask Z, or Ron, or another mod to see what's up with that. But I would *guess*, the servers classify you as "active" if you log in, say, in the last 30 days. Over 30 days, you're inactive.

I DON'T KNOW if these are the numbers, but I guess this is how it's done.
