Safety of buying seeds on-line

How on earth can you be prosicuted for opening a package???? opening a package does not admit to guilt....I cant control what someone sends me...and besides...do you really think the dea or who ever is going to spend money on people ordering 20 seeds....Now if you had a shipment of 1,000 seeds maybe that would spark some interest....not 10 seeds. In CA you can get in more trouble for speeding than having a small amout of smoke!

Randy.....how many people you know are arrested for opening mail with seeds in it? We all get mail (usa) from people we dont know or companies we dont know. Dont make up laws that dont exsist....think before you type! people from other countries will get the wrong impression as to how it really is here!

mountain man...Are you in USA? if so... how long did they take to get to you? Also how long ago did you last order? I have been waiting for a long time and I came to the conclusion that I am not getting my order ($200+)..maybe there is hope after all....but I am not counting on them anymore. I am going to give hemp depot a try and also a very kind person is helping me out!

A few tips:

-Make up a name and have the order mailed to a friend's house who isn't growing.
-Try ordering from companies who ship from countries that are not well known as seed suppliers. They're out there, you just have to look around. IOW, order from companies who do NOT ship from Canada, The Netherlands and The UK.
-Sending cash is a reasonable option. I've paid for several seed orders with cash only among several different companies and I've never had a problem.
-If you want to be *really* careful, remove the metaillic strip from the currency you are sending. The government can run the envelope through a scanner which will detect the strip and indicate money is inside and how many of each bill in enclosed. This may lead to problems with the company depositing/converting the cash, since it has been altered- some banks/countries are sticklers about the condition of the currency they receive.
-If your package is intercpeted by the feds, they will remove the seeds and send a letter in the package instead, stating the seeds have been confiscated. If this happens, don't freak out! Just find another place to get your seeds sent under a *new* fake name. the feds won't bother going to the recipient's house to bust them for a few stupid seeds.

I would be willing to consider the possiblity that cannabis seeds ARE LEGAL in USA. Afterall, they sell hemp oil, hemp seed, etc in health food stores. I dought that there is any or very very very little THC (illegal ingred) in seeds. So, given that, I suspect that buying seed in the USA is legal. However once they sprout, then your busted. However, of course I am not growin them, I eat the seed.:rasta:

Ask Marc Emery if seeds are legal in the US.. they are NOT and you can get busted for them..

Yes you can get busted in US for seeds. Order from Dr.Chronics in UK. I live in US and have ordered 4 times from the DR over the past year. Last one just a couple of months ago and over 10 packs. They send stealth and they send email to let you know it will be 7 to 14 working days till your electronic software gets there. I get mine in about a week. Never had a problem.

yeah, hemp refers specifically to non drug use.
