long time smoker but new to growing some input plz

Hey all i know der are a lot of posts and i have read a lot of them but i need some questions that are pacific to my setup/grow area.

    [attachment=o62824]

above is a pic of the kit am looking.

    Contains:
250 Watt Budget Hobby Complete Lighting System
light hanging kit (chain, 'S' Hooks and Hook Plates),
    Hobby Gro-Tank 205 NFT system,
    spreader mat,
    submersible pump,
    delivery tubing,
Vita Link grow and bloom nutrients,
    pH test kit, pH down,
    2 metres Black/White plastic sheeting,
    8 x 3' Grodan Transplanting Cubes, 1
    4 Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes,
    SuperThrive vitamin booster,

I will also be picking up a few bigger pots of needed to move the plants from the cubes when ready.

4120mm Computer Fan will be attached to a bit of piping to draw the dead air away from the palts. another piping will connect to this and draw the dead air outside.

Another set of 2 fans will bring in clean air from the outside also.

I have been thinking of replacing the fans with a Dehumidifier if it would work better than a fans.

above is the unit i would get. 1ltr tank.

My grow area i think shud be suitable:

    7feet 10inchs High
    3feet 4inch Wide
    1ft 8inchs Broard.

The wals of this will be covered in tin foil, sinny side out to reflect heat.

So far i "think" am ok. Some advice would be greatly welcomed. I will be documenting my progress from when i start building, threw growing and smoking of course lol

and excuse the spelling, am stoned and relexes are crap

Sounds like a costly system. How much ? You can do well. DO NOT PUT UP TIN FOIL. If your going to spend the money get the real deal mylar 2 mill, the good stuff. If your humidity is almost always way over 40% like mine go for them.

ok tin foil is out, mylar is in :rasta: :rasta:

Its gonna cost about £250. £150 for the kit and £30 for the Dehumidifier if it work better than fans. the other £60 will be for gerenal stuff l for keeping grow area clean etc an d if i need more £ then i will invest it. Sick of smoking the crap the is in my county. Run my dealers who feck you over at every turn

But i think the fans will be needed to move dead CO2 and O2 around the area.

The fan set up is gonna be 2 sets of 3 100mm PC Fans, one set taking fresh air in and 3 for dead air out. but only if the Dehumidifier wont do the job.

I would look at a few of latewood's projects they would be cheaper . Save the real money on Lights you can maybe get 2 250's. I am finding out that the bulbs can make a big difference. I just got a hortilux eye and man what a great difference. The fans are good too you have to keep the heat down. That's number one. Nft's work good for some but a bubbler or drip system is easier for the beginner. You can keep it cleaner easier. You can get the bubbler stuff cheap. Dealers suck here too. I'm trying to stay just ahead of how much I smoke and screw the dealer. I have a 4x6 foot area with a 1000 watt light. Trying a sea of green and it's hard to get the timing right. Spend your money in what matters, PH meter and TDS or EC meter and lights. the more and better lights the more buds.

NFT is brilliant it probably is the easiest way to grow weed dont know what you mean about pots to move them ?? with NFT your plants stay in the rockwool cubes for the full cycle . A good tip with NFT is to put some liqud oxygen in the res tank every couple of days i found my girls loved it

When you look at a kit, like the one above...You should google every item they provide. Google and ebay as well as BgHydro and Sunset hydro...Will give you the best all around pricing. find the ave. or best price,
then add them all together. this will tell you if everything you get in the kit is a good deal.

I have posted several build threads, but if you don't want to build, and money is not an issue...I would by a 3x3' or 4x4' ebb and flow table. easiest by far, it is wide open, so cleaning and maintenance are really simple.
Here is a total list of what you abslutely have to have to be successful. There are some items that you should have, but can grow without; And I will leave that to the many responses we will get after this post. I am going to just list "System" as system since we don't know what you are getting.

    1. System
    2. At least a 250w hps light
    3. PH pen
    4. 24 hour light timer
    5. GH 3-part or pure blend pro
    6. pH up/down
    7. mylar or panda plastic
    8. 2 fans...one dedicated to plant canopy and one for recirculation
    9. thermometer/hydrometer
    10. hydroton or other medium
    11. netpots
    12. surge protector or reptile timer
    13. additives.

If I filled this list, I could grow good plants. Good Luck lw

The only thing I see missing is a parts per million pen, it's best to know how much nutrient your giving your plants. The plants will burn up if you give them too much. The PH should be around 5.8 to 6.5, 6.3 being optimum.A white interior is also as good as maylar, but its good to have some sort of vapour barriere so if maylar is hard to get try to get a white on one side plastic. Also don't feed when lights are off. and liquid Oxygen works very well,be careful with it as it is a food grade hydrogen peroxide,3 to 5 drops per 4 ltrs.Good Luck, and may the weed be with you.
