ok the deal is this.....PH is important and SO TOO is the TDS in water (PPM) its THESE minerals (solids) are kinda used asa BASE from which to START from meaning when you use food grade nuets that require the PPM to go to say 1000-1200. IF your tap water is already at 210-240 PPM what you is ADD to that # to get to 1000-1200.

im MY case im using an entire line of nutes that also include "tank additives" for root conditioning - cell wall stregnthening & flower mass development (silicon) - and potash. these #'s add only slightly to the over PPM req of 1000-1200. its the FOOD itself that adds extra minerals that are SALT based and once you get to the point of MAXIMUM SATURATION (prior to nuet burn) your growing medium BEGINS RETAINING SALT. this activity LOCKS out the calcium (Ca) and magneseum (Mg) needed tor good veg and flower development.

as far as RO is concerned the reson is works so well is that ALL YOUR HUNIES ARE GETTING IS THE FOOD GRADE (exceptionally clean) NUETS (minerals and salts). so not only are you missing all those nasty chloromides and unneeded trace metals but all that EXTRA salt that lockups and brings your progress to a screaching halt.........so what do you do?

ok RO unit - like $200 at the hydro store (or $80-100 on line and to tell you the truth the online option is a far better deal with not only a better membrane filter most of the time includes an ionization step as well) OR theres the chemical option for like $24.....LOL!

yes i know its more work but to me its a labor of love..... CLEAREX

this product can be both used once your garden takes a dive and as a PREVENTITIVE measure....easy to use and highly effective. working on a chemical level to - not just rinse out salt but to unbond it from your growing media.
