This is your AK47 - This is your AK47 on a stadium scrog. Any questions?

Now picture this, only done right.

Next time I will fill more of the screen before budding, and it should look like a nice green carpet. I had to flower due to lack of smokables. (CLEAN YOUR VENTALTION INTAKE FILTERS IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PLANTS TO MYSTERIOUSLY START DYING. But that's another story.) I have been sifting through my old shake for the past 2 weeks.

    Whaddaya think?

Oh yeah, they are in day 26 of flowering. I believe they are supposed to get 60 total. Does anyone know for sure?

They dont look like fake plants

Dont be so scared of the pigs, they cant do jack shit. If we stand up for what we belive in, they cant ignore it. If peope keep denying it then we will stay the minority.

Looking at your stadium scrog intrigues me. Did you put shorter plants in the center and taller ones on the edges? And if so, did you just pick out the short ones and the long ones and move accordingly, or did you actually put clones of different ages/sizes in? How much extra effeciency do you figure you gain from doing it that way?

This is only my second try at a stadium style scrog, and as mentioned above, it is not done right. My first one I lost most of my plants due to a ventalation problem. My second I budded early. My wife won't let me buy anything to smoke since I spent all this money on the set up.

When I tried a flat sceen, the center plants grew much better and taller, and the overall shape of the canopy was shaped like a christmas tree, with the tip pointing at the center of the light. This didn't seem good to me because the outside plants didn't get enough light. It seemed like the yield could be improved if I could get light to the outside plants too. I started poking around and found out about the stadium concept. The theory is that the light intensity is shaped like a ball under HID light, where as with flouros it's mostly flat. A stadium screen keeps more surface area of the scrog in similar light intensities, thus making more of the plants grow and produce the same, and hopefully increasing the yield.

You also get slightly more surface area overall than with a flat screen. I don't know without getting out my calculator and looking up some area formulas, but I'd guess maybe 10 to 20 percent more surface area.

If I do have any shorter plants I put them in the center. Otherwise I just keep placing the branches to fill in areas that need it. Of course the center plants try to come through the screen first, but I don't let them until all areas are ready to come through (at least that is how it's done when it's done right). When I do it the next time I plan to have about 3 times more buds poking up through, mostly filling the screen with bud sites. I think I will try making all the branches grow in a clockwise manner, or something more organized.

Not sure, still figuring it all out. I guess maybe double the yield of no screen, and 50 to 100 percent more than a flat screen. At least, I hope. We'll see.

    I'll post results.

I LOVE ScrOg of any kind. Looks nice Opie.

I am comparing ScrOg to SOG right now and gotta tell you I am liking the ScrOg much more. (50 plants to water is just toooo much)
