Anybody know a metal band with lots of electronics?

Once in a while one of the metal bands I listen to uses some electronic music, often very trance-like, and so I went in search of some trance music. Unfortunately, I downloaded endless trance artists but nobody had what I was looking for, it was all hyper dance music and some guy with an annoying semi-pretentious accent.

So, I was wondering if anybody can recommend a metal band that uses as much electronics in their music as possible, since it seems metal bands are the only ones that get what I want, but unfortunately don't do much of it. Also if anybody can recommend a trance artist that's actually what I'm looking for, I'll be so greatfull! To give an idea of the type of thing I'm trying to find, listen to the last 40 seconds of the In Flames song "My Sweet Shadow", that stuff just totally takes me away when I'm high.

hmmmm..... and after extensive searching I can't find a link to the song in full. Anybody know how to link a song from my computer?

im the man to help you here and im glad to help you out.

yes sweet shadow is a good song, i always crank "In search of I" i just love the guitar riff when stoned.

get some fuckin BEZERKER if you want hardcore industrial techno. download "Chronological Order Of Putrefaction"
    and "humanity"
those songs are mainly full on techno drums.

also FEAR FACTORY have re-released the demanufacture album called REmanufacture, the whole album has been rexmixed with techo and trippy effects and bass, plus the metal of coarse.
type in remanufacture in limewire, and download all of them.

MNEMIC is awsome they are one of the first metal band to use 3D SOUND, download. the audio injected soul album fuckin sends you in a trance when your stoned.

"Deathbox" wait till bout half way through the song and it goes 3d...trippy

    "Dreamstate Emergency"

"illuminate" (my fav of the album...listen to the full song LOUD

"Overdose in the hall of fame" (THIS SONG IS AMAZING)

    other songs;
    Rammstein "Ghost"
    Mortiis "The Grudge"
    Saints of Eden "Overload"

download all the above and your gonna thank me for this.

Hey, thanks for all the suggestions! though I believe Rammstein doesn't have a song called "ghost", it was most likely another german band on the web that was labeled as rammstein simply because they were german metal. I know because I own every album of theirs, plus the LAB 2 cd edition, 5 singles, 2 DVD's, and I've researched them inside out.

oh, and to recommend one back, check out the band "Megaherz". I think their best is probably "Herzwerk 2".

heh, well don't hold your breath over getting it, it has to be their weakest album EVER. I mean seriously, I don't know what's happened to Rammstein but Reise Reise was a major step down from their masterpiece "Mutter" and still far below Sehnsucht. They just sound really generic now, like they're trying to deliver the Rammstein sound we grew to love but keep falling flat. I'll give a brief review of their new album:

    Rosenrot

    1. Benzin - Hard pounding song, but nothing more. gets really old, really fast.
    2. Mann Gegen Mann - Catchy at first, and again gets old fast.
    3. Rosenrot - Decent song. But that's as far as the album goes: decent.
    4. Spring - Ho hum, decent song, nothing really to it. repetetive, unsurprising.
    5. Wo Bist Du - Best song on the album, very good actually. But still definately not "Mutter" standard.
    6. Stirb Nicht Vor Mir (Don't die before I do) - Corny, lame, gets stupid beyond 1 or 2 listens. Sounds like a crappy American country love song or something.
7.Zerstoren - What can I say? 5 and a half minutes of repetition, and it sounds like it should be chase music for a cartoon.
    8. Hilf Mir - Decent mellow parts, 2 eight-second good choruses, main chorus is like "look at us, we're sounding dramatic!...... oh wait, no we don't"
9 Te Quiero Puta - a FUCKING JOKE. seriously, you cannot tell me this was even meant to be anything beyond a joke, it just sounds silly and stupid, no musical value at all.
    10. Feuer Und Waser - One of the better songs, but still them trying to be dramatic and sounding ho hum.
    11. Ein Leid - 100% pointless. They fiddle around on some simple quiet chords that go nowhere for 3 1/2 minutes. it's not even as song, even though it's ironically called "a song".

*sigh* I miss the orchestral and haunting brilliance of Mutter, and the trippy sounds of Sehnsucht (my favorite off senhsucht now is "Engel").

Hey Stangle12, just wanted to thank you for introducing me to shpongle! I downloaded some stuff and gathered my favorite trance-like stuff into one awsome cd. I'm enjoying it highly, exactly what I was looking for! The tracklist I made was:

    1. Flute Fruit
    2. Once upon the sea of blissfull awareness (esionjim remix)
    3. Room23
    4. Crystal Skulls
    5. Dorset Perception
    6. Around the World In A Tea Daze
    7. Once Upon the sea of blissfull awareness
    8. Saudate pt.2

if you know of anything more that's similar, I'd love to hear it.
