The only bad high I had was back in college. I had tried to do some acid one other time and I guess it didn't work the same or was different stuff. Got all suicidal and depressed and spent most of the evening telling myself, "It's the acid, just be easy.". Never had a bad trip with weed though.

I really just wanted to build on this smoking vibe, in that, there's a right way and a wrong way to smoke. If the herb is constantly freaking you out or putting you in an uncomfortable space, it's OK to quit for a while. Hell, it's OK to quit for good. The herb is to be respected.

Me, I like to smoke for a couple of weeks and go dry for a few months. For one, I'm older and married and my wife doesn't smoke. Another thing is, when you think about constantly smoking, those are funds that can go elsewhere. Feeling all droopy and tired isn't any fun either.

I smoke to enhance my creativity. I'll smoke and walk around with my PDA and voice record ideas about projects I'm working on at work. Or maybe I'll play video games (which I usually play better when high) and come up with random business ideas. But once that creative spike starts to decline and smoking becomes 'dull', I quit. LOL, by that time I've either advanced a project at work and get all wrapped up in it or one of my random thoughts has led me to a new hobby to get into.

IMO, you have to understand how herb benefits you and how to best get those benefits as well as what to do if you feel like you're no longer obtaining them. Herb is an enhancement, it's not your life nor should it be. There is so much to do and enjoy all around you. Read a book, fly a kite, go stargazing, go for a drive, excersise, find investments, start your own business, travel somewhere, etc. etc. etc. Stuff that usually's cheaper, feeds the mind, and doesn't require weed...their enhancements on their own.

So just a +1 to say don't let the herb control you. It is a responsibility to use it and recognize when you shouldn't it...it's an adult responsibility.
