    Zandor: Cloning Questions

I have read your cloning 101 and also a thread by another member. Which end of the stem or "the clone to be propagated" do you stick into the rockwool? It looks like the foliage with the anti wilt solution goes into the medium and the side of the stem which used to connect to the rest of the plant is the only thing exposed, on which the roots will sprout. Also, would a week or two before flowering be a good time to cut the clone off the mother? If so, will the part that was lost from the mother plant re grow at a fast rate? Thank you in advance.

the part that attached to the plant is going to grow roots inside the rockwool the new groth is going to keep growing up . the rock wool holds your root system. that end that attached to the plant with your chem on it will go inside the rockwool. Zandor: Cloning Questions

any clone should have 2 tiers of leafs and a top lead leaf (2 tiers of leafs is 4 comming off of the main stem your trying to get roots to grow on) he didn't take any leaf off he shoves the cut throu all the way and had some sick out the botten then put more solution on it to encurge groth your looking at the bottem of it. Yeah that solution helps tons cause clones don;t wana just sprout roots ....... If you didn't cut it all the way off plant and cut a slit in the stem then put root solution and put that but end under durt ( still conected to mother ) it will grow roots to and you can then cut it and plant.:smokin:

:smokin: your clone section should be a newer groth in last 2 weeks er so no older big leafs from it's earlyer days. your clone is like a 4-6inch new section

The point of Anti-wilt is to give the cutting the best chance of surviving. That product is a food grade wax with some nutrients built in. It will seal the moisture into the leaf and stem. This will help keep the plant moist but still allow you to mist them with water. You do not use a humidity dome when you use anti-wilt.

That was an Aeroponics cloning 101 but Rockwool is fine if you like that stuff. Just make sure you soak it in Ph adjusted water to 5.2 for 24 hours before you use it. The Rockwool needs to adjust and balance it's ph to the proper level or the plant will not root.

There are some products on the market these day's that will do that for you too. I don't use Rockwool at all so I don't have direct use if those products but I do know many who love them..
