The thing is, consoles are more popular for just being able to pick up a controller and play. For instance, FPS on PC will always be better than Halo or even Goldeneye, but there's no installation required with them.

There has been a mega backlash in the community against nintendo, personally I find it not that big of a deal, a name doesnt make a console unless you are too narrowminded to see past that.
