The idiots guide to homemade bong smithing.

Every once in a while someone posts "how do i make a bong?." so this is everyone who needs to know or wants to know about making a nice homie.


Finding your bong: Alchol bottles, novelty cups, soda bottles.

Sterilizing your bong: Solution- Rubbing alcohol, Bleach, hydrogen proxide

Your bowl piece: Metal elbows, faucet adaptors, socket pieces.

Drilling your holes(bowl hole,carb): electric drill, scissors, lit ciggarete.

Screen: faucet screen, window screens, foil(if your desperate)NEVER USE FOIL.

Get your Bong sterilize it with the solution. rinse it thoroughly with hot water 5 times then 5 times with cold.
dry it out by shoving paper towels down into it to suck up the water.
Drill your holes, make sure you empty plastic/glass shavings before using.
insert bowl piece and seal with electric tape or industial adhesive (shoe goo,plumbers glue) Put in screen, cut down to size with wire cutters if needed.. Decorate your bong with Stickers, paint or whatever supplies you might have. load your new piece with buds and smoke away.


This might help i smoked out last night woke up and made this thread just for reference in case anyone needs to no the basics.

now wait, do u have to steralize it? cuz i made a water bong by making 2 holes in it one for the carb and one for the stem, i took all the insides out of a bic pen, and i cut a square out of an alluminum can and stuffed the pen in the hole. is this a good way to do it? or is the steralization a neccesity

mmm plastic fumes and nasty ass tin foil, no thats not a good way to do it at all. Sorry if i sound rude but at the temperatures were dealing with to smoke the weed you cant have all that crap, you need metal if not glass, and aluminum/tin foil isnt good enough. using these materials will impact your health and smoking experience very badly.

i always hate seeing little kids at my school smoking out of pop cans and all those makeshift peices, if you cant afford or get pipes and bongs, roll joints

I'm actually quite good at bongsmithing, thank you. I've had great airtight pieces with minimally toxic materials...and what's with the plastic fumes? Unless your bowl/screen are made out of plastic, you have no worries. Mere heat conduction through metal isn't enough to evaporate plastic. Maybe melt a LITTLE, but not evaporate. I doubt it'd melt unless you're a dumbass who doesn't know how to cherry a bowl.

My piece is a water bong so when the smoke is passed through the water its cooled down alot so it doesnt melt plastic.

The smoke is at a high enough temperature coming out of the bowl hole to vapourize the clear coat on the plastic pen tubes, i dont care if you believe me, im not going to go link hunting but all i know is i dont use them in any of my bong smithing anymore. The smoke is cool enough after being filtered through water so that you can use a plastic chamber with minimal risk, but not the stem.
