the CFL Odor Ionizer Bulbs Work !

OK ... I just received two of the 23-watt CFL Air Purifiers ... 23-watt draw, 100-watt equivalent, red spectrum ... built-in ionizer, ... I put both into my 2'x4'x8' cabinet, and yes, they DO work ... I have four plants in veg right now, going into flower in another week or so, (3 plants are NYCdiesel and SAGE, stinky) and these lights definitely work ... BUT, these are my first CFL lamps, and I was surprised at the heat output ... I have an extremely accurate infrared thermometer, and surface temp on these CFLs is 179 degrees Fahrenheit (compared to 91 degrees on my 4-ft flourescent tubes) ... not a problem, if youre aware of it ...

I'm using one of the 42 watt ones and it does work as long as there's air flow.

yeah, I do have airflow, not as much as I'd like, though ... the 23-watter was the biggest one my supplier stocks, but I got 2 of them ... question: do all CFLs run hot like these ?? :smokin:

So there was a noticable difference before and after? Never heard of those bulbs, might get 1 or two.

i have some CFLs and i mean now that i have my closet closed up tight as i can get it i see more of a heat difference and thats with a fan running all the time, but normally there isn't much heat made off of them from what i've seen

reaper.. tell us more about the smell ..

does it get rid of the odor..or just mask it.. DOes it completley get rid of it?

i looked on thesite and they look the ame as the regular bulbs how does it mask the smell? or cover it up/take care of it?
