THey were all real, and i was in prison for a short period of time. I got let out cos i was not a real "Risk" according to them. Trust me, if you knew what had happened, you'd understand, but its not really something i wanna go into on a site...

LIP i thought in this country (UK) you get 10 years just for possession of a gun and then a certain amount of time for each extra bullet, or is that the maximum and they just make it sound more srerious than it really is because they always do?.

Nah, you can get away with alot short time than that. 5 years is normally the minimum, but remember, you get realsed after serving half your sentence.

I was jailed for 2 years, got out after 9 months, (Good behaviour and half sentence nearly finsished)

I was lucky, 10 years and over is when they wanna make an example of you. I was lucky, and i caused no problems, and i wasnt planning on using them, and the police realised this, and realised that in all honesty, i wasnt really any threat to the public. Anyways, i put them days behind me now.

So the gun laws are extremely tight over there. What if you own a property in the countryside? Aren't you allowed to own rifles and shotguns to hunt if you so choose? Can you get a permit to own handguns/rifles? Or is it strictly forbidden to own any gun? I thought that the upper class did a fair amount of bird hunting with shotguns?
