When I look up at night, I think I can see the stars spinning due to the rotation of the planet. Is that possible?

We are all inhabiting the very thin hard outer shell of a ball of lava so huge our puny monkey brains can't possibly make an accurate mental image of its size. At any given moment we are traveling east at hundreds of meters per second, but we don't feel it. Our ball of lava is so massive that everything we see is stuck in its gravitational field, including, luckily, our oxygen supply which is not flying away into outer space. Everything on our planet that is not hydrogen or helium was created Rating: 5
