getting an allotment, pref with a building (some do), and grow in there?

only problem I can see (growing related) is electricity for the lights, any way of getting an electricity source?

i can't afford a flat - yet... and I don't think my mam n dad would appreciate me growing it, heck they don't know I smoke it

the only way i can see of getting electrickery in your allotment building, which is usually just a wooden shed if your in u.k... is with a generator, which makes shit loads of noise and will cost you a fortune in petrol.

or a solar panel but thats just silly.
also allotment people are very watchful of other peoples plots. sometimes just being good neighbours. other times being plain fuckin nosy and destructive.

my advice would be not to grow at an allotment. it can only lead to tears..
